Shrewsbury and District Ladies Circle held a charity Snow Ball at the Lion Hotel in Shrewsbury to raise funds for two local charities and mark the 1st anniversary of the group reforming.

Some £1,100 was raised, which will be divided between Shrewsbury’s Action for Children respite centre and Stonhams young people at risk refuge.

Around 75 guests enjoyed a three course dinner and live music from The Duvets, a cover band from Clun.

On the night a raffle was held featuring 20 prizes all donated by local businesses, including Tanners Wine Merchants, Wroxeter Roman Vineyard, Zocalo Hair and Beauty Salon, Tyrells, Individjewel and Mocambo fashions.
